Apollo is open to any creator, in any industry. Food, software, fashion, hardware, services, art — if you're building something real and you're honest about it, you belong here. These rules exist to keep it trustworthy for everyone.
You don't need a finished product to launch. If you have a clear vision, a defined audience, and honest milestones — Apollo is built for exactly this stage, in any industry.
Reports, playbooks, courses, cookbooks, guides, and documentation across any domain — provided the creator has the expertise and rights to produce them.
Projects with a public benefit component are welcome. Up to 10% of campaign funds may be directed to a related nonprofit, provided this is disclosed at submission.
New brands, recipes, packaged goods, ingredients, beverages, and food concepts. If you're building something people can taste, wear, or hold — it belongs here.
Devices, furniture, apparel, tools, accessories, and any tangible good. Sketches, prototypes, and sample photos are encouraged over polished renders alone.
Apps, platforms, tools, APIs, templates, media, and digital goods across any category — at any stage from concept to working prototype.
Advisory packages, coaching, consulting, training, audits, or subscription-based expert access — in any field, as long as scope and delivery terms are clearly defined.
Art, music, film, writing, design, photography, and any creative output — provided the creator holds the rights and can fulfill what's promised to backers.
For Apollo's purposes, a minor is anyone under the age of 21. Campaigns may not be directed at, sold to, or accessible by individuals under 21. This includes age-restricted goods, services, content, or experiences of any kind.
Campaigns involving weapons designed to cause harm, dangerous substances, products that endanger physical safety, or any content that could facilitate violence, abuse, or exploitation are strictly prohibited.
Campaigns for alcoholic beverages, cannabis products, tobacco, nicotine, and related goods are subject to strict age verification requirements and applicable licensing laws. Most such campaigns are not permitted without prior approval.
Adult content of any kind is not permitted on Apollo.
Apollo is not a donation platform. Campaigns must deliver a product, service, or defined output to backers in exchange for their pledge.
Campaigns cannot offer equity, revenue share, interest, or any form of financial return. Backers receive access, tiers, or product delivery — not a financial stake.
Any campaign structured around chance-based reward distribution is prohibited.
Campaigns must be honest about what is being built, the current stage of development, and what backers should realistically expect.
Campaigns where the product or deliverable is entirely AI-generated with no meaningful human input, curation, or accountability are not allowed.
Campaigns that exist primarily to resell existing products or services without creating something new are not permitted.
Publish a campaign that accurately reflects what you are building and your current stage of development.
Post milestone updates when funds are released — backers must see evidence of progress.
Respond to backer messages within a reasonable timeframe.
Deliver on stated rewards or tiers, or communicate clearly if circumstances change.
Disclose any material changes to your project scope, timeline, or team.
Ensure all campaign materials — images, copy, prototypes, and demos — are yours to use.
Pledges are held in escrow and released monthly only when milestones are verified. Backers are never exposed to all-or-nothing cliff risk.
Apollo campaigns have no fixed deadline. Backers can pledge at any stage of the campaign — including long after the initial launch.
Every milestone release is tied to documented progress. Backers see what was built before funds move.
If a creator fails to deliver without communication, backers can flag the campaign for OpenCentric review. We reserve the right to pause fund releases pending investigation.
All campaigns must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws in the jurisdictions where the creator operates and where backers are located. This includes but is not limited to consumer protection laws, product safety regulations, licensing requirements, and advertising standards.
If your campaign is accessible to backers outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with the laws of those countries, including import/export restrictions, data privacy regulations, and product compliance standards.
For OpenCentric's purposes, any individual under the age of 21 is considered a minor. Creators offering age-restricted products — including alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, or mature content — must implement and enforce age verification, and must hold all applicable licenses before launching.
All campaign materials, product designs, branding, and deliverables must be owned by or properly licensed to the creator. Campaigns that infringe on trademarks, copyrights, or patents will be removed without notice.
OpenCentric does not provide legal advice. By launching a campaign on Apollo, you represent that your campaign complies with all applicable laws. If you are unsure whether your campaign is legally permissible in your jurisdiction or your backers' jurisdictions, consult a qualified attorney before publishing.
OpenCentric does not guarantee that any campaign will reach its funding goal, complete its milestones, or deliver on its stated rewards. Campaigns may fall short, stall, or be abandoned despite a creator's best efforts.
Pledging on Apollo is not a purchase — it is a commitment to support a campaign in exchange for a future reward. If a campaign fails to deliver, your pledge may not be recoverable. Never pledge more than you are willing to lose.
While we hold funds in escrow and tie releases to milestones, we are a platform — not a guarantor. OpenCentric is not responsible for a creator's inability to deliver, and cannot reimburse backers in the event of campaign failure or fraud.
By pledging on Apollo, you acknowledge and accept these risks. OpenCentric encourages all backers to review a campaign's milestone plan, creator history, and stated deliverables carefully before pledging. If you suspect a campaign is fraudulent or in violation of these rules, report it to trust@opencentric.vc.
OpenCentric reserves the right to remove any campaign that violates these rules, pause milestone releases pending review, or permanently suspend creators who misrepresent their projects. If you believe a campaign is in violation, contact trust@opencentric.vc.
